  • Christmas Story Time - a Reception event organised by FOBBS

    On Wednesday 7th December, children in Reception classes will be having an in school visit from Mrs Claus and the elves for a Christmas story time.

  • In-house Football Tournament - Years 3+4

    We will be hosting an in-house School Football tournament as a way for children to put into practice some of the skills that they have been learning in PE this term. The mini friendly tournament will take place on Thursday the 8th of December after school, and will be open to children in years 3 and 4. The tournament will run from 3.15-4.30, and the teams will be mixed year 3 and 4, boys and girls. Miss Fry currently runs a girl’s football club on this day for year 3 and 4. Children that attend the club will automatically be included in the tournament. On this occasion, parents are not invited to attend the tournament. However, if successful we hope to extend the invitation to parents for future tournaments. If your child would like to participate in the tournament, please kindly complete the permission form that has been issued via ParentMail by 12.00pm Friday 2nd December. We would ask that children participating in the tournament come to school dressed in their PE kit.

  • FOBBS Christmas Colouring Competition - deadline 8th December

    This year FOBBS will be running a Christmas colouring competition. Each child will be issued with an entry form to take home.  If your child wishes to enter, please return your picture and an entry fee of 50p to the school office by Thursday 8th December. There will be one winner chosen from Foundation/KS1, and a second winner chosen from KS2.  Winners will be announced on Thursday 15th December.

  • Bitham Brook Choir Performances

    Bitham Brook Choir has been invited to sing on two occasions to represent Bitham Brook Primary School. The first event is the Westbury Christmas Light Switch on, taking place Saturday 3rd December at 1.15pm. Children will need to meet at Westbury Library for 1.05pm to start singing at 1.15pm for approximately 15 minutes. Please can we ask that children wear School uniform with a Christmas hat/hairband/accessory.

     

    Bitham Brook Choir has also been invited to sing at Watersmead Care home on Tuesday 6th December. We will leave school at 3pm and walk the short journey to the venue. Children will walk the return journey to school ready to be collected at 4.15pm. Please can we ask that children wear School uniform with a Christmas hat/hairband/accessory.

     

    We would like to take this opportunity to respectfully remind parents and carers that you are not permitted to take or share group photos that include other people’s children at these events.

    Bitham Brook joins the nation in remembering, with representatives from each year group laying wreaths made by the children this week.

  • Term 1 Star Readers!

    We would like to say a big congratulations to Year 5 for achieving the most reading points in Term1 . They amassed an impressive 667 points.  Year 4 came second with 297 points. Well done to all the children who have been reading regularly and earning points for their year groups.

    The top scoring children from each year group were celebrated in assembly this week. They have all shown amazing resilience in their reading and we would like to say a huge well done to each of them. Across years 3 to 6 they were - Isla, Jacob, Oliver and Amy.

  • Children In Need

    We will be having a non-uniform day on Friday 18th November to raise money for the Children In Need appeal. Children can wear non-uniform (something spotty if possible) and bring in a small donation for Children In Need. Please can all donations go to your child's classroom.
