Term 6

We hope that you all had a lovely half term. As the weather warms up, please make sure your child has a hat if needed and that sun cream has applied in the morning before they attend. It is really important that your child is also coming to school with a water bottle.Could you make sure that our child has their name on everything so that they are easy to find.

Please ensure your child brings minimal possessions into school.

When the children have PE, they should continue to wear their Bitham Brook PE kit into school with the school jumper over the top (if weather conditions require a jumper).

Please note the Bitham Brook PE kit is a plain white t-shirt and black shorts/leggings/tracksuit with daps/trainers. Other sports clothing is not acceptable as it is important that, as a school, we have pride in our appearance. School will confirm which days the children have PE in due course.

Please can you make sure that your child has a water bottle in school everyday as it is difficult organising drinks for the children throughout the day.

Homework

Spellings will be handed out weekly. We will be testing weekly and will have a big test every 4 weeks.

Please continue to read at home and question children on what they have read for comprehension skills.

Continue practicing for times table challenges on Times Table Rock Stars.

PE

Children will have PE on Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure children come to school in their Bitham Brook PE kit on these days.

When the children have PE they should continue to wear their Bitham Brook PE kit into school with the school jumper over the top (if weather conditions require a jumper).  Please note the Bitham Brook PE kit is a plain white t-shirt and black shorts/leggings/tracksuit with trainers.  Other sports clothing is not acceptable as it is important, that as a school, we have pride in our appearance.  It is important that children do not attend school in casual clothing as we want to maintain the children's sense of education being important; pride in their appearance; and belonging to Bitham Brook.
