In a community of kindness where all belong: be positive, be resilient, be creative

Lunches

We have our own kitchen and meals are freshly cooked and prepared on site by Brenda Young, Catering Manageress and Sarah Bawden, Catering Assistant.  Following a recent spot check by Environmental Health the kitchen has once again been given a 5-star rating for hygiene.  You can order a hot meal for your child or provide a packed lunch.

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are able to have school lunches free of charge as part of the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals initiative.  Children eligible for Free School Meals can order lunches by completing a weekly lunch booking form available from ParentMail / Forms.  The deadline for submitting forms online is 11 am the previous Friday / school day.

If you pay for your child's lunches, meals cost £2.20 per day for children in Years 3 - 6, payable in advance and should be ordered on Parentmail by going to Payments, Shop, Lunches, searching for the relevant date(s), adding the menu option to your basket and checking out.

We have an exciting menu, refreshed routinely and featuring Meat Free days with tasty vegetarian meals, daily fresh fruit and salad carousels, yogurt and freshly baked bread.  All meals are prepared on site, using fresh ingredients.  Milk is available to all children at lunchtime, including all children entitled to Free School Meals.

New Lunch Menu - from 4th November 2024

Drinks in School

We actively encourage children to bring water bottles to school and they may have free access to them during the day.  Fizzy drinks are not permitted and fruit juices can only be consumed as part of a packed lunch.

Free Fruit and Vegetables in School

We offer every Key Stage One child a free piece of fruit under the Free Fruit/Vegetables for Schools Scheme.
